The Charles J. Moss Jr. Child Development Center provides “STAR” quality care in an enriched learning environment for children 6 weeks-12 years old. It is our goal to broaden the children’s horizons in all areas of their lives by introducing them to a wide range of new experiences. The parents or guardians of the children must be at work or school during the time the children are in attendance at the center. The Center looks at children within the context of their family, culture, community, past experience, and current circumstances to create age-appropriate, as well as individually appropriate, living and learning environments. The staff at CJ Moss is well trained and must receive a Commonwealth Child Care Credential within the first year of employment. The center promotes continuing education at a college level for all staff. The staff desires to have an attitude of learning that creates a supportive culture for children and their families. |

The Charles J. Moss Jr. Child Development Center provides a safe healthy learning environment that advances physical, social, emotional, and intellectual competence through developmentally appropriate practice. The Center partners with the community to provide programming and other opportunities to our families. Partnerships with community agencies give children access to therapists and other counseling services. The Center has a computerized attendance tracker system to assist our customers. Each parent or guardian is issued an individualized computer key tag to monitor authorized pickups and security cameras are located within the classrooms. Preschool and school age children participant in field trips and other enrichment activities throughout the year. |
